Sports Leaders Training
A group of year 6 ch are children are taking part in play leaders training by Mr Miller from Exmouth Community College. The course has involved teaching of the theory of leading play sessions and some practical ideas too. The group of play leaders are planning to lead a session for a year 2 class in next week so that they can complete this course, which will be of great use to them as the play leaders assist some lunch time and after school clubs here at Brixington Primary School.

Netball Qualifiers at Exmouth Community College
On Tuesday, Brixington Primary School qualified for the East Devon Netball competition in February by winning 6 games in a row to get to the finals against Bassetts Farm (last years winners). The final finished 1-1 at the final whislt, going to extra time. However, with both defences playing very well, the game could not be decided by the extra half that was played. So both us and Bassetts were crowned joint 1st place out of 11 schools. In total, we scored 22 and conceded 3! Our best performances coming against St. Josephs and Lympstone, both being 5-0 to us! A fantastic achievenent and amazing team performance!
On Friday the 14th, we will be having a friendly competition verses Bassetts Farm, here at Brixington Primary School. We will be having an A, B, C and D team playing. At least 56 students will be playing Netball, which should make for a great event.
