Netball Qualifiers at Exmouth Community College
On Tuesday, Brixington Primary School qualified for the East Devon Netball competition in February by winning 6 games in a row to get to the finals against Bassetts Farm (last years winners). The final finished 1-1 at the final whislt, going to extra time. However, with both defences playing very well, the game could not be decided by the extra half that was played. So both us and Bassetts were crowned joint 1st place out of 11 schools. In total, we scored 22 and conceded 3! Our best performances coming against St. Josephs and Lympstone, both being 5-0 to us! A fantastic achievenent and amazing team performance!
On Friday the 14th, we will be having a friendly competition verses Bassetts Farm, here at Brixington Primary School. We will be having an A, B, C and D team playing. At least 56 students will be playing Netball, which should make for a great event.

Cycling club takes place on a Monday after school and this half term it is for boys and girls in Year 5&6. Children develop their cycling skills such as cycling with one hand, track stands, negotiating tight turns, descending banks, starting quickly and racing! We are fortunate to have the help of Joel Smith, our local SUSTRANS officer and Mr Dave, so the children split into small groups and enjoy cycling in traffic free environment around our great school grounds.

Exeter Chiefs Tag Rugby Competition: 18.9.14
A Y5/6 team took part in a big tag rugby competition organised by the Exeter Chiefs. 30 other schools from the local area took part. The Brixington team competed very well and ended up finishing 2nd in their group, winning two games and only loosing one. However, with only the top team going through, this meant they were sadly out of the competition.
After a lunch break, the team then played some 'friendly' matches against St Josephs, Exeter Road and Withycombe. Once again they rose to the challenge and played some thrilling rugby in 2 fabulous wins and a narrow defeat. The children had an exciting day of rugby!
